About Physiology

The Department of Physiology is an active pre-clinical department largely devoted to teaching Physiology to medical students. It is pioneering the development of new approaches to study cells, organs and systems to advance the understanding of their functions and dysfunction to ultimately improve human health.

The Department of Physiology consists of Haematology lab, Human lab, Clinical lab and various skill labs, Library, Demonstration room, Staff rooms, Office rooms and Research rooms.

The main aim of our department is to train & teach the students by establishing various patient care services like autonomic function testing, molecular and neurophysiology, endocrine and pulmonary function testing and to be efficient in critically discriminating the profile of a health problem on a physiological basis.

The goal of our department is to provide a superior teaching resource in the Physiological Sciences to medical and graduate students.
